# XPayr Trust Boundaries

XPayr is designed as non-custodial payment infrastructure. It does not hold merchant funds as an internal balance, store merchant private keys, pool merchant balances, or operate withdrawal wallets.

## Important boundaries

- Network gas is separate from the XPayr gateway fee.
- TRON USDT transfers require payer-side TRX or energy unless a separate sponsored model is explicitly configured.
- Solana payments require SOL for transaction fees from the signing wallet unless a supported sponsored path is separately enabled.
- Fee Delegation applies only to supported token, route, contract, relayer, and merchant policy combinations.
- Mainnet activation for regulated or high-risk categories can require merchant review.
